Who we share your data with

We do not, and will not, sell any of your personal data to any third party.

However, we share your data with the following categories of companies as an essential part of being able to provide our services to you, as set out in this statement:

  • Different RTM departments, as sometimes different departments are responsible for different activities.

  • Companies that do things to get your purchases to you, such as payment service providers (Paypal, 3D-Secure, our banks), warehouses, order packers, and delivery companies (M-LINK & MPO).

  • Professional service providers, such as marketing agencies, advertising partners and website hosts, who help us run our business.

  • Credit reference agencies, law enforcement and fraud prevention agencies, so we can help tackle fraud.

  • Companies approved by you, such as social media sites (if you choose to link your accounts to us), Marketplace sellers where you place an order.

  • We may provide third parties with aggregated but anonymised information and analytics about our customers and, before we do so, we will make sure that it does not identify you.

How long we retain your data and keep your information

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

We’ll only hold on to your information for as long as you are a customer. If you haven’t logged onto our website for three years we will delete your information from our systems. If you no longer wish to be a customer, you can also contact our Customer Care team and request to delete all the information we have on you.

If reasonably necessary or required to meet legal or regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our Terms & Conditions, we may also keep hold of some of your information as required, even after you have closed your account or it is no longer needed to provide the services to you.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Marketing messages

If you have said we can, we’ll send you marketing messages by email, text, to keep you aware of what we’re up to and to help you see and find our products.

How to stop marketing messages from RTM or RecordingTheMasters?

You can stop receiving marketing messages from us at any time.

You can do this:

Once you do this, we will update your profile to ensure that you don’t receive further marketing messages.

Please note that, as RTM & RecordingTheMasters comprise a complex web of many inter-connecting services, it might take a few days for all our systems to be updated, so you might get messages from us while we process your request.

Stopping marketing messages will not stop service communications (such as order updates or where you have expressed an interest in an activity at RTM or RecordingTheMasters).

External RecordingTheMasters’ adverts

We also engage in online advertising, also to keep you aware of what we’re up to and to help you see and find our products.

Like many companies, we target RecordingTheMasters banners and ads to you when you are on other websites and apps. We do this using a variety of digital marketing networks and ad exchanges, and we use a range of advertising technologies like web beacons, pixels, ad tags, cookies, and mobile identifiers, as well as specific services offered by some sites and social networks, such as Facebook’s Custom Audience service.

The banners and ads you see will be based on information we hold about you, or your previous use of RecordingTheMasters’ website and online store (for example, your search history, and the content you read on RecordingTheMasters’ website) or on RecordingTheMasters’ banners or ads you have previously clicked on.

If you participate in a discussion forum, chat room, or provide comments related to RTM on a social media or other public platform, you should be aware that the information you provide there (i.e., your public profile) will be made broadly available to others, and could be used to contact you, send you unsolicited messages, or for purposes neither RTM nor you have control over. Also, please recognize that social media forums and chat rooms not controlled by RTM may have additional rules and conditions. RTM is not responsible for the personal information or any other information you choose to submit on these forums that are not RTM -controlled. RTM may offer you the ability to share personal information through a social networking site (e.g., Facebook, Twitter), using such site’s integrated tools (e.g., Facebook “Like” button, or Twitter “Tweet” button). The use of such integrated tools enables you to share personal information about yourself with other individuals or the public, depending on the settings that you have established with such social networking site. For more information about the purpose and scope of data collection and use in connection with such social networking site or a site’s integrated tools, please visit the privacy policies of the entities that provide these social networking sites. Mulann is not responsible for the personal information or any other information you choose to share through any social networking site.
